Reportedly, the Vibe will replace the car GM hoped to launch in 2003, and which it had hoped to call the Pontiac Edge. And, according to the UK-based Car Design News, the 2003 model year Vibe will carry a Pontiac badge. The car will be built at the Fremont, California plant where GM currently builds the Chevrolet Prizm sedan. So far, only these teaser photographs exist, although you can expect to see the full "in-the-metal" car with the onslaught of GM concepts due at next week's Detroit Motor Show - or, more correctly, the North American Auto Industry Show. ![]() No, we don't know if the designers had been watching a re-run of The Castle before giving the car its monicker.
